While the film “Dog Day Afternoon“ takes place in New York, the hot looking night put me in mind of a Miami night club. I thought it would ver interesting to incorporate a base heavy dance beat, and stretch it through out the scene to underscore the excitement and tension.

My artistic intent with this project was to create as smooth of a three shot scene as possible. The moments I built the scene around the most are the shots from the main character “Monk.“ Not only was here the main character of the show, he has some of the most interesting moments in the scene, and it seemed only natural to make that the focus.
